Elvaston Castle Estate Trust
Elvaston Castle Estate Trust is the lead body looking to preserve Elvaston Castle and Country Park as a public asset; the Trust is opposed to the propsed commercial development that would see an international developer turn the main house into a 5-star hotel and the grounds into a golf course. Currently, the estate is owned by Derbyshire County Council who is still considering all options for the future of this unique parkland on the edge of Derby.
